Froylan L. Gilharry is a business educator, academic administrator, and hospitality and tourism professional with almost two decades of experience in higher education, training, and industry engagement in Belize. He is an full time lecturer in the Faculty of Business and Entrepreneurship at Galen University, where he coordinates the Business Administration and Hospitality & Tourism Management programs. He holds a master’s degree in educational leadership, management, and emerging technologies, an MBA, and a bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management.
His teaching focuses on Hospitality and Tourism Management, Business Management, Business Administration, and Marketing, with a strong emphasis on industry relevance. He has held senior academic leadership roles, including Assistant Dean and Head of the Tourism Department at San Pedro Junior College, and currently serves in several national and industry roles, including Chairman of Corozal ITVET and Vice-Chair of the BTIA Corozal Chapter.
Froylan is deeply involved in entrepreneurship support, workforce development, and industry–academia collaborations. As a certified trainer for the Belize Tourism Board Tour Guide Training Program, he has trained tour guides in San Pedro for over a decade, contributing directly to skills development and community impact in Belize.
