Dr. Cindy Thompson is an experienced academic and accounting professional with over ten years of teaching and leadership experience in accounting, finance, and business administration. She holds a Ph.D. in Accounting and Finance and an MBA in Finance, along with doctoral coursework completed at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Thompson is currently an associate professor at Galen University, where she teaches Financial Management, Business Policy and Strategy, Financial and Managerial Accounting, and Finance. She previously served as Chair of the Faculty of Management and Social Sciences at the University of Belize, where she provided academic leadership, faculty supervision, curriculum development, and quality assurance support.
Her professional experience includes serving as a Senior Auditor at Crowe Horwath Belize Ltd., as well as lecturing at the University of Belize and Independence Junior College. Dr. Thompson has presented at international conferences and published research in peer-reviewed journals and academic case reviews, with research interests in foreign exchange, trade, and monetary issues.
She is actively involved in community service, church leadership, and educational outreach, and is committed to academic excellence and student development.
