*SSED- 390 GEOGRAPHY, POLITICS & ECONOMICS OF THE CARIBBEAN AND CENTRAL AMERICA

This course will provide students with an introduction to the geography and politics of the Caribbean and Central America.  It provides an overview of the physical and human geography, current political boundaries, predominant political systems, and the interplay of economics, social, cultural, demographic, environmental, and political factors of the two regions as they unfold in the rapidly changing modern world.
