This course critically examines the nature of Belizean society.  It explores the origins and development of the Belizean government and political, economic, and philosophical factors in the formation of the Belizean constitution and legal system.  It develops in the Social Studies teacher inquiry-based approaches to developing an understanding of the cultural, social, economic, and political make-up of the diverse Belizean society and the challenges that confront Belizeans.
