POM-388 PRODUCTION AND OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

(3 CREDITS)
Application of management techniques to the functions of manufacturing as well as to the distribution of goods. Topics include product and service design; location planning; process selection and capacity planning; facilities layout; design of work systems; aggregate planning; inventory management; materials requirements planning; just-in-time systems; scheduling, Gantt charting, and queuing modeling; and much emphasis placed on quality assurance and quality management.
PREREQUISITE(S): MATH-220.
