PHYS-103 INTRODUCTION TO PHYSICS |

(4 CREDITS) Introduction to physics as applied to the allied health fields, primarily for the physical therapists assistant program. Topics covered include basic mechanic (including Newton’s Laws), energy, momentum, waves, electricity, magnetism, optics, and radioactivity. Fundamental principles will be presented along with applications related to human health and physiology. Five hours per week (lecture and lab combined). PREREQUISITE: Students must have working knowledge of the fundamentals and the construction and the interpretation of graphs, as found in the course description for MATH-105.
