This course attempts an exploration to music in sound. A chronological approach leads from the Ancient and Oriental Music to Art Nova and the Renaissance to the classical, Romantic, contemporary and Jazz-Rock music. Emphasis is given on listening, understanding, enjoying and appreciating the music and on the relationship of music to cultural and social context of its time.
