Provides students with instructional strategies for teaching mathematics in the elementary school.  Special attention is given to methods that promote multiplicative reasoning, equivalence, and computational fluency.  Modeling and developing problem-solving strategies, using language and other representation systems to communicate concepts, and exploring cooperative learning structures are explored.
