(3 CREDITS) Fundamentals of Linguistics is a required course for students of the Primary Education Program It may be taken as an elective by certain other students. It introduces the study of language and the teaching of language from functional and socio-cultural perspectives. The course explores concepts and theories of various areas of linguistics, including the spoken and written forms of language varieties in the Belizean and global context. |
