Food service represents a varied array of business opportunities and operational procedures. This course will examine the differences between the main types of food service operation and focus on the basic principles and practices that govern the successful development of a food service business, touching on all aspects of design, menu, food purchasing, preparation, inventory and storage. The course is targeted towards the management of food service and not the actual cooking of food.
