GEOG-231 INTRODUCTION TO GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION SYSTEMS

This initial course in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) provides a general introduction to the background, development, trends and prospects of this evolving technology. Basic components and functions of GIS, along with fundamental spatial and geographic concepts are explored through the use of ArcView (an industry standard for GIS).
