ESCI-100 ELEMENTS OF EARTH-SPACE SCIENCES

(3 CREDITS)
Introduction to the study of elements of physical geography, including integrated topics from meteorology, geology, oceanography, and astronomy. The course is designed to develop broad understanding of earth-space sciences and their relationships with other natural sciences. Two hours of lecture and two hours of lab per week. Not recommended for students who took Earth Science(s) in high school. Upper-level students have options to satisfy the general education core requirements in other courses: ESCI-150, 206, 207, 301, 310, and others in biology, chemistry, and physics.
PREREQUISITE: Math proficiency through MATH-090. Only open to elementary or middle school education majors or freshman (26 credit hours or fewer) in other majors at time class is taken.
