This review of basic English addresses core oral and written skills. The non-credit course covers the essentials of grammar and usage that set the foundation of Standard English for academic courses. The preparatory course may not count toward a degree program nor for a grade. Students should obtain a minimum grade of C to be able to take ENGL- 100 for academic credit. Although the course may not be audited nor counted for academic credit, it does count toward athletic and financial aid progress upon successful completion of the course.
