*ENED- 250 GRAMMAR AND USAGE FOR ENGLISH TEACHERS

(3 CREDITS)
This course examines traditional English Grammar and the principles upon which grammatical analysis is based.  Students develop an understanding of how the language systems of grammar works and increase their awareness of the conventions of Standard English usage so that they can provide formal English grammar and usage, along with a list of errors commonly made by students in the Belizean classroom-they analyze the errors or their origin and propose solutions.  They develop competence in teaching Grammar within the framework of the Integrated Language Arts Curriculum.  This is a prerequisite to LAED 350.
