ECON-305 ENVIRONMENTAL ECONOMICS

(3 CREDITS)
This course provides analysis of the fundamental concepts in Neoclassical Environmental Economics and the trans-discipline of Ecological Economics.  Course components include the nature of resources, the resources of nature, theory of externalities, the economics of pollution control, market failure, non-market values of environmental benefits, application of cost benefit analysis to the environment, environmental policy development, and global environmental issues.  A problem solving approach will be taken toward the delivery of course materials.
PREREQUISITE(s): ECON-110 or permission of the instructor
