Introduction to chemistry for students with no previous experience, or review for students with limited experience. The course covers the structure of the atom, both nuclear and electronic, and how this structure influences the types of reactions and compounds that chemicals form. In addition, the solid, liquid and gaseous states of matter are investigated to determine their effects on chemical reactions.
PREREQUISITE(S): Mathematics proficiency.
