(4 CREDITS) Study of the chemical aspects of the problems that human beings have created in the natural environment. This course will build on the chemistry and problem solving skills mastered in CHEM- 160 to apply knowledge of general chemistry to real-life issues. Chemistry occurring in the air, soil and water will be studied in detail. Three hours of lecture and one two-hour laboratory per week.
PREREQUISITE(S): CHEM- 160 or consent of instructor.
