An areas heritage and history have always had a great appeal for the traveling public. Exploitation and development of these aspects of a destination have many advantages and can serve to help protect our built treasures. This course will examine the attraction built heritage and historical sites have and how a tourist industry can be developed around these assets. Policies, capacity planning and preservation will be covered as it relates to the identification of prospective sites and how they are managed.
