Thirteen of Belize’s top high school 2010 graduates from Corozal to Punta Gorda visited Galen University today. The valedictorians and salutatorians came with their parents and/or guardians by invitation to learn more about Galen University, its programs, and the ten new scholarships that are being offered by the university for the next school year. 

 

Belizean faculty members, Dr. Lydia Loskot and Dr. Colin Young spoke to the visiting students about their individual education journeys, and the scholarships that helped them to succeed in achieving their life goals. The students were visibly enthralled by the stories, as they saw the possibility of an even better future than they had imagined for themselves when they accepted the invitation to come visit Galen.

 

Dr. Nancy Adamson, Galen University’s President Designate, gave a concise description of Galen life. She had the privilege of introducing the scholarships to the students, and explaining the application process. Dr. Zabaneh, the university’s Chairman, spoke about the vision, passion and excitement of Galen. Lecturer, Mr. Maurice Field, made a brief stop to talk to the students in between his two summer classes that Saturday. He spoke about the Management and  Administration program, and of the high marketability of Galen University graduates.
