Dr. David Aguilar earned a Bachelor’s Degree, and a Master’s Degree in Computer Science at the University of South Florida. He continued on to a doctorate while engaging in research involving cellular communication, satellite technology and Global Positioning System (GPS) applications. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering in 2008, and became Assistant Professor at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina.  There, he received almost two years teaching experience as a faculty member at a key academic institution in the United States. Dr. Aguilar, who was born and raised in Belmopan has returned home to Belize, intent on continuing to pursue his research work while at the same time assisting in the educational development of his homeland. At Galen University, Dr. David Aguilar will be an integral part of the new computer engineering program that is being introduced.
