Following a meeting of the Advisory Board for Academic Affairs of Galen University on May 7, 2010, a major announcement was that ten undergraduate scholarships were approved to be made available to the public! 

Of these, six tuition scholarships will be offered, based on demonstrated financial need. One financial need scholarship will be awarded to a student from each district in Belize. Winners of these scholarships will have, and maintain, a 3.0 or higher grade point average while at Galen University.

Additionally, competitive scholarships, based solely on academic excellence, will be available for four high achievers from anywhere in the country. These students will have to maintain a 3.5 or higher grade point average for the duration of the program. The academic scholarships will cover tuition and fees.  

All scholarship recipients will be chosen by an objective panel adhering to specific guidelines. Galen University is very excited to make this announcement and to offer these extremely valuable opportunities so that more Belizeans will have access to the quality education being provided by the university.
