| Open Day 2010 |
|
Belize’s future environmentalists, anthropologists, entrepreneurs, tourism personnel, economists and engineers were among over three hundred students from all over country who today attended Galen University’s Open Day, held at the Central Farm campus. The visiting students were given tours of the campus by Galen Students. Each group of visiting students was given a chance to win prizes offered by Chaa Creek, Log Cab-Inn, Calico Jack’s, Maria Estella’s, and by Galen University, as well. Faculty and academic advisors lined the walls of the lobby to give information about the programs offered at Galen. First Caribbean Bank, Atlantic Bank, Scotia, and DFC discussed financing with prospective students. Galen staff was also available to share information about the loans and scholarships offered by Galen University.
Grace Kennedy was also at the Open Day, talking about their company, and giving free samples to the visiting students. This complemented the ready supply of snacks and refreshments that Galen had on hand for all to enjoy. Students and others came with questions, and left with information packets and a clearer understanding of what it means to “Chart your course” at Galen University. Galen University is still accepting applications for our undergraduate and graduate programs. For more information visit www.galen.edu.bz, or call 824-3226.
