Due to Belize's culinary diversity, food can be found to suit just about any taste. Galen students get breakfast through the school week at their accommodations. However, dining out is reasonably inexpensive. Rice and beans with chicken would be considered the national dish. Creole restaurants focus mainly on meats and seafood. There are also vegetarian choices and a nice variety of places and menus from which to choose. Most people drink bottled water, which is plentiful and cheap.
