There are many ways to get around in Belize: the national bus system, taxis, scooters, bikes, horses or walking are common. The national bus system goes to all areas in Belize. Galen University runs a bus to and from San Ignacio and the student housing. The trip is 7 miles and the Galen bus runs several times during the day and evening.
