GUARD
Mission

Our mission is to be a resource for those organizations, public or private, that seek to assist in the positive development of the Belizean economy and its people. In the past we have quietly worked with many government organizations and NGOs, lending the expertise of our university in support of many worthwhile studies and projects. Now we wish to make our resources available to the general private sectors of the Belize economy, to provide them with the same level of knowledge and experience that has made us successful in our past projects.

Our organization has collected a highly respected team of professionals from many diverse disciplines. Some are professors at Galen Univeristy and some are affiliated members of GUARD, they all have the desire to offer their expertise and talents for GUARD projects.

We invite all interested parties to contact GUARD for a consultation where we can discuss your busines or project needs and allow us to show where we can add value through efficient, competent, and profesional project and consultative services.

Applied Research

GUARD training at ToledoGalen University has an applied research and development institute (GUARD) engaged in sustainable social, cultural, environmental, political and economic development projects. GUARD works with Central American and Caribbean government departments, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) and the private sector to address a variety of social and environmental issues. Galen University offers technical assistance and coordination services to these organizations. A university-wide approach is taken through the use of faculty, staff and students trained for data collection and data entry. This extension of Galen’s resources creates learning opportunities and facilitates the power of networking with other worldwide institutions or organizations.
