A. DEFINITION

Credit is a measure of the amount of academic work. It has nothing to do with grades. A credit hour usually represents one hour of lecture per week for the whole semester (usually 15 weeks for a normal semester). For lab or practical courses one credit may represent more than one hour of monitored student work.
